Hamilton County Cross Country Meet Recap The University cross country teams competed at the Hamilton County Meet, with runners from all four squads turning in strong efforts and gaining valuable experience against a competitive field. Boys Varsity Senior Mario Buoscio led University with a time of 18:35.40. Senior Walter Wilson followed in 19:20.00, while junior Rhys Litke ran 20:49.40.Senior Calvin Xu finished in 21:38.70, followed by junior Grant Fitzwater in 21:57.20. Junior Chris Hocutt rounded out the University varsity lineup with 23:00.40. The University boys JV squad was led by freshman Everette Koriath, who ran 21:04.20. Freshman Aikin Hudson followed with a 21:47.30 finish. Sophomore Jayden Wize posted 25:07.10, while freshmen Lucas Carvalho and Grayson Lucas completed the lineup in 29:13.90 and 47:31.00, respectively. Girls Varsity The University girls were led by junior Raya Stennis, who ran 22:02.60, Freshman Lilly Roch was close behind, posting 22:05.60. Senior Kaia Barron finished in 23:08.10, followed by senior Navya Shah with a time of 23:24.20. Junior Delaney Blair ran 27:16.80, while senior Brynn Kary finished in 28:51.70. Junior Helen Ernst completed the University varsity lineup with 30:15.80. University's girls JV team was led by freshman Maxine Steensland, who finished in 26:44.50. Senior Madeline Zyromski followed in 27:50.80, while freshman Avery Thieu ran 28:25.40. Freshmen Rita Fischer and Piper Spieth rounded out the group, finishing in 28:32.00 and 28:42.60, respectively. Meet Highlights University's runners showed a strong mix of senior leadership and developing underclassmen talent. The varsity squads were anchored by experienced seniors, while the JV races featured several freshmen gaining important racing experience. The performances at Hamilton County provide a solid benchmark as the Trailblazers continue through the season.
