Senior right-hander Matt Moore struck out 11 in 6 innings of 1-hit baseball as the Trailblazers defeated Fort Wayne Bishop Luers 2-1 on Saturday to win the Apache Classic at Wabash. Senior lefty Tyler Galyean worked one inning in relief to notch the save, striking out a pair, including the game’s final out.

University plated one run in the bottom of the third, when a Moore single scored Galyean to put the Trailblazers ahead 1-0, then answered Luers’ lone run in the bottom of the fourth, with Seth Hogg reaching on a walk and coming around to score two batters later on a wild pitch.

The Trailblazers moved to 13-4 on the season with the win, recording their second tournament win of the season.
