Even though University Trailblazers Varsity collected seven hits to Harrison’s five, they still fell 10-6 on Tuesday

University Trailblazers Varsity lost despite out-hitting Harrison seven to five.

Harrison got things moving in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Harrison.

After University Trailblazers Varsity scored two runs in the top of the sixth, Harrison answered with two of their own. University Trailblazers Varsity scored when Dawson Estep singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Harrison then answered when Cade Simmons singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Harrison took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jake Gothrup doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.

Karter Hann took the win for Harrison. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out four. Keegan Fagan and Tommy Layton entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Fagan recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Harrison.

Tyler Galyean took the loss for University Trailblazers Varsity. He surrendered four runs on one hit over three innings, striking out three.

Jack Ross started the game for Harrison. He lasted two innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out three and walking zero

University Trailblazers Varsity collected seven hits on the day. Alex Washlock, Estep, and Nate Shatkowski all managed multiple hits for University Trailblazers Varsity. Shatkowski, Estep, and Washlock each managed two hits to lead University Trailblazers Varsity. University Trailblazers Varsity stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Washlock led the way with two.

Simmons went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Harrison in hits.
