Another heatwave swept the cross country course Thursday night. Despite the mercury’s climbing efforts, it could not hinder the exceptional performance of our Trailblazers.

Zoe Naiper was ON FIRE Thursday night! Eyes-up, Zoe honed in on and passed an unprecedented number of competitors. She ran one of her fastest times, despite the 90-degree heat. Charlotte Kumler continues to be a key player in the Blazer’s success this season. Regardless of what is thrown her way, Charlotte stays the course, digs in, and brings an incredible performance. The mental fortitude of her racing is inspiring. Isabella Garino-Heisey secured the team success for the Blazers with her second fastest time that placed her in the TOP 20!!!!!! We are so proud of all of the work you’re doing, Isabella! Chloe Kaplan powered through her race, giving a particularly great effort in the last 800 meters. As the heat index increased, so did Chloe’s tenacity! Jada Swearingen continues to lead the team with a swift and steady stride. She is not just fast runner on our team, but one that other schools are keeping a close eye on!

This team makes us proud not only in how they race, but how they continue to cheer on each other, as well as their competitors from other schools. Their speed has them going great distances, but it is this spirit that will take them the farthest.
