The Trailblazers came in 3rd place at the Clinton Invitational! This is the first time that the girls have beaten a team at this meet.
Scoring swims came from Regan Hooker (3rd- 200 free and 500 free), Kylar Kavanaugh (5th- 200 free and 100 back), Charlotte Kumler (3rd- 200 IM, 6th- 100 fly), Caitlin Clark (6th- 200 IM, 5th- 100 breast), Zoe Napier (5th- 50 free), Audrey Priest (5th- 100 fly), Ella Eskenazi (5th- 500 free), and Jaclyn Copeland (100 breast). All of the relays scored as well.
Additionally, we had some “green swims”– where people swam an event for UHS for the first time. Stasia Reinholt’s 50 free was somehow the first time she has raced the individual event for UHS (33.22). Jaclyn Copeland’s first flat start 100 free was a strong 1:21.40. Audrey Priest joined the elite club that swims the 100 fly and the 500 free in the same meet to go a steady 6:51.50.
We also had some best times this meet. Zoe Napier shaved off a bit in her 50 free (31.93) while Kate Lautenbach took off nearly 1 second (39.31). Madison Clary dropped a smidge in her 100 free (1:15.80), and Kate Lautenbach dropped about a second (1:35.69).
The Trailblazers compete next at the Eagle Invite at Zionsville High School on December 21st.
