University Trailblazers had their first meet of the season at the Lewellen Pool at Ball State University.

Charlotte Kumler (500 free, 100 back) and the relay team of Stasia Reinholt, Audrey Priest, Ella Eskenazi, and Kylar Kavanaugh were our event winners.

This was the swimming debuts of Kate Lautenbach, Jaclyn Copeland, Madison Clary, and Audrey Priest.

Despite it being the first meet of the season, we also had some best times at this meet.
Stasia Reinholt went her best 50 breast relay split on record (38.38). Kylar Kavanaugh (2:33.08) shaved off 8-9 seconds in their 200 frees to come in 2nd. Zoe Napier went off on her 100 free– she dropped a second down to a 1:11.01. Shortly after, Zoe Napier went her best 50 free flat start and relay split (31.99). Kylar Kavanaugh (31.29) also went her best 50 free relay splits in the 200 free relay. Zoe Napier also went a best 100 free relay split in the 400 free relay at the end of the meet (1:16.13).

It is also worth noting that Ella Eskenazi, Zoe Napier, Kylar Kavanaugh, and Annie Klemsz were faster than they were at the beginning of last season in every event they swam yesterday. Regan Hooker also had events where she was faster than she was at the beginning of last season.
