The Trailblazers played an outstanding game against Traders Point Christian Academy on Wednesday night. The Blazers started the game giving up one run in the first inning, but fought back at the bottom of the first with hot bats and earned 5 runs. During the third inning, TPCA earned another run and the Blazers fought back to earn 2 more runs. During the 4th inning, the Trailblazers hoped to seal the game, but only scored one run to broaden their lead. TPCA worked hard at the top of the fifth, but the Blazers were able to get out of the half inning quickly and for their final time at bat they were able to score 5 runs. The Trailblazers won 13-3. Sophomore Abby Martin was at the mound the entire game for the Trailblazers and had 8 strikeouts with junior Tatiana Dunipace behind the plate. Juniors Lydia Copeland (1 run; 2 RBIs), Haley Tomlinson (2 runs), Lillian Klemsz (2 runs), Meredith Malott (1 run), sophomore Annie Klemsz (3 runs; 3 RBIs) and Elise Nachlis (4 RBIs), and freshmen Kendra Stevens (2 runs; 2 RBIs), Grace Brenner (1 run; 1 RBI), and Sophia Hwang (game winning RBI), and Soren Rothenberg all played for the Trailblazers. The Trailblazers play again on Friday against Clinton Central.
