The Trailblazer girls played their best collective 18-hole round of the season last Friday at South Grove, shooting a team score of 384 and finishing 7th in one of the toughest sectionals in the state.
The Blazers were led by freshman Becky Williams with an impressive score of 80, a strong enough score to advance her to regionals as an individual. Becky was followed by sophomore Molly Bickle who played her best round of the year, shooting a 93. Sophomore Joella Layman played a solid round as well, carding a birdie 3 on #11, one of the more challenging holes on the course. Seniors Meredith Rodgers and Kenzie Binford both played strong rounds in their final match with the team.
Williams will go on to play in the Roncalli regional at Smock Golf Club on Monday, September 24.
