The Trailblazers had a strong first meet of the season at the Lewellen Pool at Ball State University.

Hayden Suarez-Davis (200 free) and Keegan Priest (100 fly, 100 back) were our event winners.

This was the first varsity meet for Foster Wilson, Charlie Dahle, Colin Freeman, and Mitchell Wray.

Despite it being the first meet of the season, we also had some best times at this meet. Andrew Laramore went his best 50 free relay split on record (26.57). Gordon Bradley shaved off 9 seconds in his 200 free to come in 3rd (2:30.03). Austin Clark is moving up in the 200 IM world– he dropped 3 seconds to go 2:24.82. Gordon Bradley (29.57) also went his best 50 free relay split in the 200 free relay. Andrew Laramore dropped 5 seconds in his 100 breast to go 1:19.34.

It is also worth noting that Andrew Laramore and Gordon Bradley were faster than they were at the beginning of last season in every event they swam yesterday. Hayden Suarez-Davis and Cordell Wilson also had events where they were faster than they were at the beginning of last season.
