Sophomore Becky Williams was medalist with a score of 69 at the Ben Davis Sectional.

University High School’s girls golf team continued their record-breaking season last week when two golfers advanced out of the IHSAA sectional on to the regional.

Freshman Kelsey DuBois was the third advancing individual, qualifying after a playoff round where she shot a birdie.

Freshman Kelsey DuBois and sophomore Becky Williams will represent the Trailblazers in the Roncalli regional at Smock Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8:30 a.m.

Williams tied for individual medalist at the Ben Davis sectional, with a score of 69 at South Grove Golf Course. With a tied score of 83, DuBois claimed the third advancing individual spot in an individual playoff where shot a birdie and the other player shot par.

The Trailblazers took 4th place overall in the sectional with a team score of 341, beating Brebeuf, Speedway, Covenant Christian, Ritter, Ben Davis, and Pike. In addition to Williams and DuBois, other Trailblazers who competed were freshman Abby Bladen (93), sophomore Molly Bickle (96), and senior Kylar Kavanaugh (119).
