baseball · Baseball Players Earn All-Region, All-American Recognition


Two University High School baseball players recently earned regional and national recognition for their achievements in the sport. At the end of March, the 2018 Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American and All-Region teams were announced.

University High School senior Garrett Hill earned an honorable mention on the Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American Team. Hill is a pitcher for the Trailblazers, and he plans to attend Indiana University Purdue University — Fort Wayne to play baseball next year.

With more than 450,000 high school baseballs players in the United States, the Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American recognition honors some of the best players in the class.

In addition to the national recognition, both Hill and fellow senior Cade Carlson earned honorable mentions on  the Central Region team, which brings players together from 13 states. Carlson is also a pitcher, and he plans to attend Northwood University to play baseball next year.
