Meet Recap

The University High School girls cross country team won their second straight Pioneer Academic-Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday, September 24.

Led by freshman Jada Swearingen and senior Michaela McKasson, who were named All-Conference, the Trailblazers were down 19 points at the end of the first mile, but the runners collectively closed the gap and won the race by 3 points.

Freshman Robin Karwath ran her best race all season at a time of 25:40, crushing her previous season PR by almost two full minutes. Junior Alexa Nealy and sophomore Lauren Flickner also stepped up for the Trailblazers with outstanding performances and season PRs.
